"Meditation"

“When sun rays touch the ground a little warmth is felt, nothing is burnt; but if we concentrate the rays of the sun on a piece of paper, then fire begins to manifest. Likewise our saints have said, ‘When you meditate on the Almighty Lord, the Light of God will manifest’. That can only occur when our mind is concentrated at BHRIKRUTI (the third eye). The point is the object of meditation; concentration on it is meditation; and the meditator is the one who concentrates. Concentration of the mind on God is devotion and the concentrator is the devotee. The one who concentrates on the object of worship is the worshipper. In the same way, the act of concentrating on what is to be known is ‘Knowledge’ and the person concentrating on the ‘Knowledge’ is the knower.

Something that is distant and out of range or limit can be manifested by meditation. So our sages meditated and through meditation they manifested Divine Light.
Ramcharitmanasa says ‘The heart of one filled with devotion to the Lord alone is illuminated day and night and need no lamp, oil or wick’.
In the Bible it is said, “God is light and in him there is no darkness’.”
